IMPROVING THE DIAGNOSIS OF MALFORMATIONS OF THE EXTERNAL AND MIDDLE EAR IN PATIENTS

Abstract

Congenital anomalies of the external and middle ear are rare causes of conductive hearing loss in children. Hearing loss in patients with malformations of the external auditory canal is conductive in nature, although a small proportion of patients will also have a neurosensory component.
