DEFICIENCIES IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHING

Abstract

There is a growing interest in learning English around the world. However, most public language learners who are graduates of public schools are unable to communicate in the foreign language they are learning. One of the biggest challenges a student faces is that English is not used in real life. Therefore, students may not have enough opportunities to learn the target language or use it in real communication. This article presents a number of suggestions for overcoming such shortcomings by teaching communicative language that serves an alternative approach and methods than traditional methods.
