This article describes modern methods of diagnosis, treatment and prevention of gastric cancer with the transition to the esophagus, both based on the analysis of world literature and using the authors ' personal experience. To diagnose cancer, the authors use electrophysical methods (X-ray examination of the esophagus and stomach in combination with esophagogastroscopy and pathological examination of biopsy material, ultrasound examination of the abdominal cavity, computed tomography). For treatment, in addition to classical surgery, complex antitumor therapy and a special anti-cancer diet are used. Prevention is carried out by an annual functional examination of the body's organs and systems, especially in those individuals who are isolated from the entire population as a high-risk group. Features of gastric cancer varieties, examples of diagnosis and treatment from the authors ' personal practice are described.
