Abstract

The article aims to show the advantages of using a variety of assessment types. It presents the results of research aimed at describing the assessment process, the functions of assessment in teaching English among primary school students. The article also gives the most effective types of assessment with explanations that can be used in the study process. By resorting to theoretical support, the assessment types given in the article is an advisable factor for widely wide-spread language development to test the level of the English language skills.
